Amada Bond is an expert in juvenile justice, community-police relations, and human trafficking and focuses on police accountability and transparency.
At CNA, she works on Department of Justice initiatives as well as organizational reform. Ms. Bond’s research explores data bias and predictive algorithms, law enforcement training and recruitment, extremism within the ranks of law enforcement, and domestic terrorism. Ms. Bond also serves as an analyst for the Chicago Police Department (CPD) Consent Decree Monitoring Team, where she supports the associate monitor for the Investigatory Stops, Protective Pat Downs, and Enforcement of Loitering Ordinances section. She also serves as a backup analyst for the Recruitment, Hiring and Promotions (RHP) and Training sections. Ms. Bond serves to assess, observe, and evaluate CPD’s policies and operations related to compliance with consent decree paragraphs.
Prior to joining CNA, Ms. Bond served as a project manager at the International Association of Chiefs of Police, where she managed several anti-trafficking projects, and she also worked on a congressional initiative to enhance community-police relations.
Ms. Bond has a Master of Science in justice and public policy from American University, a Master of Studies in Law from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in juvenile law and deviance from Gettysburg College.
