Artie Jamison

Artie M. Jamison is currently a case manager for Broward Up, Promise Neighborhood Grant at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The goal of the Promise Neighborhoods Grant is to provide wrap-around cradle to college services, and beyond, to members of the Broward County community.  Artie is also the Founder and CEO of Cultural Concepts. LLC. Cultural Concepts, LLC provides diversity, equity and inclusion programs and workshops, professional development, leadership training and coaching in an authentic and engaging way.  Artie has more than 18 years of experience working in higher education at a variety of institutions, small and large, public, and private. She has served as an anti-bias facilitator for the Anti-Defamation League for more than 10 years, presenting a range of programs including Hate Uncycled, Breaking Down Bias, A World of Difference and most recently, Inclusive Policing. Artie is certified in LGBTQ+ Safe Zone training.

Artie received her M.S. Ed. in Higher Education and Educational Administration from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, her B.S. in Biology, from Austin Peay State University. Her current research interests include the disparities in discipline of young men of color in early childhood.
