CNA has partnered with an independent research team at Washington University in St. Louis to conduct an evaluation of the training’s efficacy and the impact on officers. This study builds on two prior large-scale studies of this program’s efficacy on over 3,400 officers in the United States. These prior studies found that the training increased knowledge and concern about racial bias, reduced officer bias in simulated scenarios, and motivated the use of evidence-based strategies to address bias in work practices. However, these prior studies were limited by uncertainty about long-term impact.
